SPM Marketing & Communications Named “Agency of the Year” by Modern Healthcare

Modern Healthcare has awarded SPM Marketing & Communications “Agency of the Year” for its Healthcare Marketing IMPACT Awards, in conjunction with its sister publication Advertising Age.

“It’s a great honor to be recognized in this way,” said Patti Winegar, one of SPM’s two managing partners. “We see the award as affirmation of our deep belief that people deserve to know there are differences in healthcare providers, differences that can save lives. SPM creates ethical communications that help people understand these differences.”

The IMPACT Awards recognize healthcare's best advertising, marketing, promotion and communication campaigns on and across all media platforms. Criteria for this distinction included thought leadership and industry contribution in the healthcare marketing arena, as well as SPM’s own community involvement, hands-on and financial charitable commitments, and ability to sustain a productive and motivated team culture.

In its Agency of the Year selection, SPM was cited for its exceptional results, effectiveness and creativity in campaigns for its clients, notably: Dana-Farber/Brigham and Women's Cancer Center, Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin, Ochsner Health System, Meridian Health, Rush University Medical Center, The University of Kansas Hospital, and University of Maryland St. Joseph Medical Center.

From April 21 to July 10, entries were submitted representing eight types of marketing campaigns—as well as Agency of the Year. The awards were presented on Sept. 23 at Modern Healthcare's Strategic Marketing Conference in Chicago.
