Despite being the area’s only academic health system, UC Health’s reputation was largely defined by its high profile in treating trauma cases and victim's of local crime, rather than being known for providing high quality academic medicine and breakthroughs in patient care. Reinventing the UC Health image started by showing that patients at UC Health have access to more—more groundbreaking research, more advanced treatment options, more expertise, and more collaboration between interdisciplinary teams of doctors.
